This family session warmed my heart. Not only did this session capture their beautiful family but it captured their journey to become a family. These dads live in Belgium and were paired with a surrogate in Minnesota. After several calls and video chats, they were finally able to come to Minnesota to meet their surrogate and go to a doctor's appointment before the birth of their son. They went back to Belgium and patiently awaited returning to the U.S. to meet their son when he was born. They ended up staying six weeks to get baby Léon's passport approved so they could take him home. Before they left they knew they wanted to do a family photo session including their surrogate. She is an integral part of their story and helped make their dreams of becoming fathers possible.
